SYMPHONIC GOSPEL
Rarely do formations and languages as different as those represented by Symphonic Band and the Messengers and Goizargi Gospel Choir come to dialogue and interact with each other, but in a time like the current one in which the limits are increasingly blurred and the new hallmarks are precisely the globality and proximity of apparently distant artistic experiences, it is when and where borders are diluted and only risk and quality are the credentials that define exciting and unpredictable new musical journeys.
Within the framework of this way of understanding music, they propose a musical mix with very few references, where the strength of music like Gospel, which is born from the depths of the soul, is adorned with the enormous richness of the colors of a great orchestral formation like the Band
If Gospel has something, it is proximity, warmth, message, energy, power, subtlety and all of this is evident in the original arrangements that allow two ideas, initially different from each other, to come closer and intertwine naturally. The complicity is total between the music, the voices and the band.
This concert has been performed at L’Auditori de Barcelona (december 2021 and march del 2023), Teatre Arriaga de Bilbao, Teatre principal de València, Gran Teatre d’Alzira(both with guest star quintet Spanish Brass) Plaza Nueva de Bilbao, Teatre Tarragona, Santes de Mataró among others, under the leadership of Pascual Vilaplana, Rafael Sanz-Espert, Pere Bono and Jordi Masip
