Connect with your “inner singer”
Life and chance have allowed me to enjoy the great privilege of cooperating with some of the greatest Gospel representatives, who have taught and guided me, until it has become my own. It is now something vital and deeply part of me.
During my years of learning and experiences, I have acquired a theoretical, musical and experiential knowledge of gospel which –thanks to the experience acquired by teaching more than 300 workshops all over the world and through live experimentation with thousands of singers-, has created a pedagogical philosophy in which emotions, “having” something to say, communicating and sharing have become the essence of my way of transmitting music and, precisely, Gospel.
At the workshops and gospel courses that, I have the pleasure to teach…
I emphasis this philosophy very much:
- Living music from happiness and dedication.
- Learning to sing from the “inside”.
- Living only the present moment through deep emotions that are created when singing.
- Being part of something indefinable and at the same time as real and powerful as a group of humans connecting through the sound of voice.
- Deepening, from practice, in all the musical and emotional aspects which constitute gospel.
- Understanding the universal message of gospel beyond different believes and backgrounds.
- Understanding open structures and the internal languages that make it up.

Learning with Ramon is very easy, since he expresses himself clearly. His contributions and exercises help you become aware, and progressively become more confident. Ramón is innovative; his way of understanding and living music is completely free, without prejudice, which also helps you to feel this too. He is authentic, he doesn’t pretend to be anyone or give lessons to anyone, he simply shares what he feels and this is contagious. To me, he is a man who is ahead of his time, with many ideas in his head, some of which are a bit crazy sometimes!

When Ramón talks about what gospel and music in general means, he manages to get those who listen to want to feel the same or know as much as he does. He is able to communicate and transmit the sensitivity that I believe good musicians have. Sometimes musicians can be very good but not reach the heart of those who listen to them.

The shows directed by Ramón manage to intertwine the audience and the heart, and I love this. I see a great capacity to train/captivate people towards music, it makes us learn how to enjoy it. When Ramón sings or speaks, he transmits happiness. I’d highlight his modesty and how he knows how to transmit, in his own way, the sense of gospel, that you don’t need to be the typical believer, but as the word says …, believe in oneself, with what you do, with others…
