After his last work “Dance! MSN sings Motown”, Messengers takes a step further in its reinterpretation of music that has been a benchmark in the history not only of music itself, but of a way of understanding the world.
Paying homage to some of the great bands of the 70s, which became the indispensable accompaniment to the yearnings for change of young generations who definitively broke with the prevailing social and cultural conventions, Messengers wants to make “Listen to the music” a song of love and freedom, an energetic dedication to the joy of singing and making music together and a display of total passion when it comes to conveying and commanding it.
The music of Earth & Fire, Doobie Brothers, The Crusaders, Electric Light Orchestra comes to life in vital, energetic arrangements, full of funk-soaked vocal and instrumental colors and even touches of House music in a party that ends up turning the audience on dance floors.
The album was recorded and mixed in January 2024 at Espai Sonor Montoliu and mastered at Abbey Road Studios in London by Alex Wharton in February.
The production was carried out by David Casamitjana and Ramon Escale
